Generally, though not always, I find that the plastic comb is kinder on the mouth. As for price, the more you pay doesnt necessarily give you much more quality. I started over 50 years ago on a Marine Band but have been through the full gamut since. The differences for me are minor, although the Hohner Blues Harp is my least favourite. PS.
